My absolute best memories of the magic of Christmas are all from childhood. As a preteen, the excitement was almost too much to bear – school vacation, Christmas carols, the smell of once-a-year baked goods in the air, and most of all, the expectation of a wish list fulfilled. It’s a bit harder to connect on those emotions as an adult, with the distractions of work, paying bills, and shopping for gifts... But the truth is that both perspectives are askew.

If our hearts are in the right place, the buzz of Christmas has nothing to do with gifts or food or shopping. Christmas is simply about hope, love, and peace. As we reflect on a year that most of us are eager to leave behind, we still have much to be grateful for at ABACORP. In 2020, despite the pandemic and a surge in unemployment across the nation, we were blessed to not only keep our team intact, but also add new members. Additionally, we have great hope for things ahead.

We have expanded our inventory of equipment, which will allow us to increase productivity, be more efficient and continue to meet current and future customer needs. We have also diversified to include Inconel and Titanium, and potentially other exotic materials. These enhancements will ensure that we continue to improve our support of industries that produce aircraft, spacecraft, and missiles.

As we bid farewell to 2020, our wish for each of us is that we embrace this unique opportunity to truly observe the meaning of Christmas. It may be a time of separation from loved ones, and traditions put on hold, but may it also be a time to restore the simplicity of the message. We wish you a very Merry Christmas, filled with hope, love and peace.

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” - Luke 2:11-12
